Part I :

Answering Questions
In Part I, you will hear fifteen questions. After you hear a question, read the four choices in your test booklet and decide which one is the best answer to the question you have heard.

Part II :

Conversations
In Part II, you will hear fifteen conversations between a man and a woman. After each conversation, you will hear a question about the conversation. After you hear the question, read the four choices in your test booklet and choose the best answer to the question you have heard.

Part III :

Short Talks
In Part III, you will hear several short talks. After each talk, you will hear two to three questions about the talk. After you hear each question, read the four choices in your test booklet and choose the best answer to the question you have heard.

Part I :

Sentence Completion
In this part of the test, there are ten incomplete sentences. Beneath each sentence you will see four words or phrases, marked A, B, C and D. You are to choose the word or phrase that best completes the sentence. Then on your answer sheet, find the number of the question and mark your answer.

Part II :

Cloze
In this part of the test, you will read two passages. Each passage contains seven or eight missing words or phrases. Beneath each passage, you will see seven or eight items, each with four choices, marked A, B, C and D. You are to choose the best answer for each missing word or phrase in the two passages. Then, on your answer sheet, find the number of the question and mark your answer.

Part III :

Reading
In this part of the test, you will find several passages or charts. Each passage or chart is followed by several questions. You are to choose the best answer, A, B, C or D, to each question on the basis of the information provided or implied in the passage or chart. Then, on your answer sheet, find the number of the question and mark your answer.

Part I :

Chinese-English Translation (40%)
Translate the following Chinese passage into English, and write your translation on the Writing Test Answer Sheet.

Part II :

Guided Writing (60%)
Write an essay of 150~180 words in an appropriate style on the following topic. Write your answer on the Writing Test Answer Sheet.

Part I :

Answering Questions
You will hear eight questions. Each question will be spoken once. Please answer the question immediately after you hear it.
For questions 1 to 4, you will have 15 seconds to answer each question.
For questions 5 to 8, you will have 30 seconds to answer each question.

Part II :

Picture Description
In this part of the test, you will be presented with a picture and several questions about the picture. You will be requested to look at the picture, think about the questions for 30 seconds, and then record your answers for 1.5 minutes.

Part III :

Discussion
Read the questions, think about your answer(s) to the question(s) for 1.5 minutes, and then record your answer(s) for 1.5 minutes. You may use your test paper to make notes and organize your ideas.
